Helpful Hints

  • The conference location is two blocks from the Holiday Inn Metrodome (click here for walking directions).

  • The fastest way to the hotel from the airport is via a taxi which will cost approx. $32 - $38. The SuperShuttle costs approx. $15 (follow the signs for "Hotel Shuttles and Scheduled Vans" to the Ground Transportation Atrium).

  • The cheapest way to the hotel from the airport is to take light rail which will cost approx. $2 (take the automated Hub Tram to the Transit Center. When you exit the tram, follow the signs to the light rail station, located 70 feet underground). Take the light rail towards downtown Minneapolis and get off at the Downtown East/Metrodome Station. The hotel shuttle will pick you up for free from the Downtown East/Metrodome Station (the hotel recommends calling them when you pass the Lake Street Station. The hotel phone is 612-333-4646).

  • To dine out in Minneapolis, the Holiday Inn Metrodome runs a complimentary shuttle within a three-mile radius of the hotel (which includes downtown Minneapolis).

    Airport
The Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport is one of the nation's best and most convenient airports. It is located on the edge of Minneapolis just 15 minutes from the University of Minnesota campus. There are direct flights to over 130 cities by nearly all of the major airlines. The longest direct flight to nearly anywhere in the continental United States is four hours, with many locations significantly closer than that (Chicago--1 hour, Denver--2 hours, Memphis--2 hours, Atlanta--2 1/2 hours, New York--2 1/2 hours).
